METALSERVICE SPA (IT) GOES GREEN WITH isovac® - ELECTRICAL STEEL IN THE greentec steel EDITION
Green thumbs up for the first greentec steel Edition electrical steel deliveries from voestalpine through SSC Metalservice to customers in Italy. The two companies, voestalpine and Metalservice SpA, look back on decades of successful partnership. Metalservice processes and distributes our different kinds of energy-efficient electrical steel strips, fully processed and semi-processed—only now even more sustainable in the greentec steel Edition!
greentec steel EDITION DIRECTLY AT THE HEART OF RENEWABLE ENERGY GENERATION
What makes us particularly proud: The first isovac® greentec steel Edition delivery to Italy is being processed into a centerpiece in renewable energy production.
The green thread is found throughout the entire value chain.
Metalservice SpA was founded in 1989 in Cittadella (Padua) and is a joint venture between Steel Service Network Gruppo Gabrielli (60%) and voestalpine (40%). The company specializes in the distribution and processing of a wide range of steel products in Italy and plays an important role as a supplier to the household appliance, automotive, processing and electrical industries.
GREEN STRIP NOW ROLLING OFF THE PRODUCTION LINE
With production facilities in Cittadella and Vicenza, Metalservice is now one of the most efficient steel service centers in Europe with over 300,000 tons of processed steel each year. Effective immediately, this applies to our isovac® electrical steel strip in the greentec steel Edition, which is further processed in an Italian stamping facility.
isovac® greentec steel EDITION – VA BENE!
isovac® electrical steel with maximum energy efficiency combined with the unique services of voestalpine is the perfect package. The quality of greentec steel Edition is even a few notches higher (and greener). In the production of greentec steel Edition, up to 10% of the direct CO2 emissions from steelmaking at the Linz site are avoided through process-optimized operation without any effect on the material or processing properties. Now that's premium quality with a reduced carbon footprint! It doesn't get any better than that!
Did you know that environmental protection has even been enshrined since 9 February 2022 in the Italian Constitution? I think sustainability really suits Bella Italia.
