Switch Point Guards - 33C1
The voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak 33C1 type switch point guard features an adjustable and replaceable wear bar made from 33C1 guard bar material.
It is easily adjusted for stock rail gauge face wear, worn wheels, etc. by moving shims from one side of the wear bar to the other. This bolted design can be installed on new or existing wood tie switches and requires little to no maintenance. In addition to protecting the switch point, the switch point guard assembly also reinforces the track structure resulting in lengthened service life of switch components and lowering the possibility of gauge spread.
Nortrak’s 33C1 guard bar material can be Buy America compliant, if required.
