Sales Executive – BÖHLER Aerospace UK - Job Opportunity

 

Job Summary

You are responsible for the professional promotion and sale of BÖHLER products.  You will be expected to manage a portfolio of existing accounts as well as taking enquiries and calls from new customers. Always ensuring customers and prospective customers are given a first class service as well as efficiently dealing with general day-to-day sales office tasks.  You will be expected to promote a good working atmosphere with good teamwork.  You will need sales experience, preferably in the selling of speciality steels.  You will need an excellent understanding of the business requirements and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues, customers and suppliers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to hit and exceed specified targets
  • Accurately takes verbal enquiries
  • Swift and accurate turnaround from enquiry to quotation, either verbal or written
  • Chases quotation to win orders and if the order isn’t placed ascertain why
  • Keep regular contact with assigned customers VIA telephone and email and potential to make calls to develop new business
  • Negotiates with customers, suppliers and colleagues at all levels
  • Accurately and correctly input sales orders and sub contract work onto the computer system in a timely manner
  • Resolve any queries or problems as speedily as possible
  • Keep your line manager and colleagues aware of anything major in the pipeline, good or bad
  • File documentation accurately with contacts and files kept up-to-date
  • Keep accurate specific customer information up to date by using the company CRM system
  • Visit key customers with the external sales team if and when required
  • Maintain stock levels in line with company guidelines and customer requirements
  • Understand group products and offer if there is a customer need
  • Build supplier relationships – BÖHLER BEG, BBG & BUD
  • Follow the training you received when using any work items given to you
  • Take reasonable care of your own and other people’s health and safety
  • Co-operate with your employer on health and safety
  • Tell someone (supervisor, or health and safety representative) if you think the work or inadequate precautions are putting anyone’s health and safety at serious risk
  • Support the company with environmental initiatives and any compliance issues

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education:     School GCSE’s and/ or apprentice

Experience:    Sales experience in the steel industry, in particular Special Steels and the industries related to these products.  Key Account Management with technical sales experience, particularly with releases and specifications. Previous SAP experience preferred.

Physical Demands

35 hours a Week, exact timing to be agreed.  However, you may often need to work extra hours but there will be some flexibility on the exact working times.

 

Your role will be mainly office based, although you may be travelling to visit other companies or to attend training, meetings and conferences.
