The bauma 2022 in review
"Sustainable in every element — your partner for the future” was this year’s motto at the bauma, where voestalpine presented its products and services from 24 to 30 October. bauma is the world's largest construction machinery trade fair and is held in Munich. More than 630,000 visitors had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest product innovations and ways to cut CO2 at the voestalpine stand.
The construction machinery industry must meet the challenges of the present: Innovative solutions for construction methods and materials are more in demand than ever. voestalpine was able to present several high-tech innovations. Models of our 3D sand printing molds, the greentec steel exhibit with high levels of CO2 savings in steel production were only some of the products and services that voestalpine has been using to set the right course for a greener future.
In the areas of machine components and materials, voestalpine presented some very important new developments. Consistent further development and continual optimization have led to more lightweight and robust materials, making them much more cost-efficient. "Despite the clash of dates with the Euroblech in Hannover, the Diwali Festival (Indian Christmas) and the Covid-related absence of many Asians, we were able to greet a very high number of visitors. We were able to spend quality time with the many customers who visited us. It was great for us to have this personal interaction. We were also able to make contacts with some very promising new customers. We received a lot of praise for this year’s stand and the trendy look of our Steel Division," says Arnold Ackerlauer, Machinery Sales Manager at SSC.
As in years past, voestalpine once again provided delicious Austrian delicacies and warm hospitality to provide visitors with an opportunity to rest from the hustle and bustle of the trade fair. In celebration of the Austrian National Holiday on Wednesday, the evening event was again called "Austrian Night." Amid the high-tech products, the flood of innovation and the strong drive in the industry to redefine the future, many guests enjoyed the typical Austrian feeling in a relaxed atmosphere.
