How is an apprenticeship at voestalpine group-IT structured?

Your apprenticeship will kick off with an onboarding week for you and the other new apprentices. During that week, you will get to know the company and gain a first impression.

Following the general onboarding week, you will enter the so-called job rotation. This means that you will get to know and work in several different departments for a few months at a time. This will give you an insight into the various career options, and help you find out where your strengths lie and in which area you would like to continue to work after your training. Ideally, in the final year of your apprenticeship, you will already be working in the department where you would like to stay.

In addition to this practical training, your apprenticeship years will also include seminars and upskilling courses at the voestalpine training center. This will also boost your social skills, your business English, and the cooperation with your team, and you will get tips for business meals and much more!

In addition, you will participate in joint trips, events, and language courses abroad. This helps build camaraderie: Our apprentices are a strong team!

Would you like to earn your “Matura” (high-school diploma and university-entrance qualification) alongside your apprenticeship?

This is not a problem, either. We are happy to support young people in continuing their education. We will discuss all possible options with you. It is possible to already complete parts of the “Matura” at night school, while still an apprentice.
