BRUCHA IS SURE: greentec steel IS A TRUE WIN.

The partnership between voestalpine and BRUCHA, a Lower Austrian manufacturer of panels, cold storage cells, doors and insulation boards, is ample proof that longstanding cooperation can provide fresh impetus. The world-renowned pioneer of insulation technology has opted for greentec steel made by voestalpine and has thus become a customer of the first hour—a sustainable role model.

THE NEXT CHAPTER IN A GLOBAL SUCCESS STORY

BRUCHA was founded in 1948 by Josef Brucha as a company in Michelhausen in Lower Austria for the production of insulation materials. The innovative power has been so big that the company’s world fame has not been long in the making: The small family business revolutionized the entire industry with groundbreaking milestones in insulation technology. More than 700 employees work today on a production floor space of 80,000 square meters and manufacture high-performance insulation materials. The decision for greentec steel reflects the pioneering spirit of the company in setting new green standards.

STEP BY STEP TO GREEN SUCCESS

The ambitious step-by-step plan of greentec steel at voestalpine is long-term decarbonization in steelmaking. Expansion of the product portfolio to include a CO2-reduced edition is the initial step on this path. Manufacturing process adaptations, scrap content maximization and electricity from renewable energy sources make it all possible. Customers continue to receive reliable voestalpine premium quality that is marked by outstanding processing and material properties.

A FUTURE STRATEGY WITH BROAD IMPACT

The more sustainable steel made by voestalpine coincides perfectly with the BRUCHA philosophy and vision: "greentec steel fits perfectly into our innovation activities and our drive for more sustainability. We use it in upscale facade structures for core customers looking for optically high-quality solutions that are both economical and ecological. The BRUCHA panel is made of premium colofer® steel strip as a greentec steel edition product and is an outstanding solution that is made in Austria," says Josef Brucha jun. BRUCHA and voestalpine are moving forward into a more livable future, and the number of partners is steadily growing.

It fills me with pride when I think about the sustainable partnership we have with insulation manufacturer BRUCHA. It just makes me so happy for our planet!
