With over a decade of experience in the automotive industry behind him, Herbert Horinek is voestalpine HPM’s expert for tool and productivity optimizations for foundries worldwide. He has worked for leading companies in Europe and the USA in the field of machining, aluminum processing and serial production before he specialized further in process development, heat treatment and welding in a global high pressure die casting company. Having started his career as an apprentice tool machinist, his hands-on experience in production has been instrumental in guiding his professional and academic career.

Rocco Severino
Based in Ontario, Canada, Rocco Severino has worked for more than 20 years in the die casting industry. He has a proven history of driving efficiency and profitability within high-volume manufacturing environments. This also includes extensive experience in tool building, preventative maintenance, engineering, and management. With first-hand experience using voestalpine products and technologies, Rocco helps tool users implement process improvements to control costs, enhance quality, and exceed customer expectations.

Jason Ye
Jason Ye has a wealth of expertise spanning both academia and industry, particularly in metallurgy, heat treatment, tool-steel applications, mold & die technology, and cutting-edge fields like additive manufacturing. As the technical head for ASPAC region, Jason leads a dedicated team in overseeing all technical affairs across the region. Collaborating closely with our market specialists and our steel mills, they strive to deliver the most efficient and cost-effective solutions to our customers in various segments including HPDC, plastic injection molding, precision stamping and IC molds etc. With his extensive knowledge and insights in material, heat treatment for super-large HPDC dies and surface technology, and additive manufacturing, Jason unquestionably propels the ASPAC team to maintain a competitive edge in the rapidly expanding Giga-casting for electric vehicles, which is booming in Asia now.
