Since 1989, voestalpine and the Upper Austrian company DOMICO have been combining a successful and trusting partnership. As soon as Strip Coating Line 1 was commissioned, voestalpine delivered its high-quality steel strip to the specialists for roof and wall cladding at the Vöcklamarkt and Pötting sites. DOMICO sells its roof and facility segments mainly to customers in Central Europe and relies heavily on the quality of colofer®.
One of the projects that impressively demonstrates the strength of this partnership and the versatility of colofer® is the new fire station in Oberaula, Germany. This customized building facade ideally combines functionality, aesthetics and a crucial security aspect.

The municipality of Oberaula was faced with the task of bringing together several local fire departments at a central, modern location. What was required was a building that meets the highest functional and safety requirements while serving as a visible symbol of the community and its values.
The centerpiece of the new fire station is a column-free garage with the impressive dimensions of 41 meters in length by 14 meters in width. The DOMICO segmented roof was made with robust Domitec® roofing made of colofer® PLUS 50. The exterior features a modern DOMICO Planum® facade in elegant RAL 7016. The 320 m² Planum® facade was made of colofer® UV25.
