Every welder knows that the hydrogen content is a decisive factor for a safe and reliable welding seam. This is the reason why we not only produce stick electrodes with a low hydrogen content, we also take care that the coating does not absorbe any moisture and offer our DRY SYSTEM premium packaging which ensures safe welding with low-hydrogen weld metal up to nine hours after opening.  

H4 R is a certain classification from the American Welding Association AWS:

  • The H4 means that the hydrogen level in the all weld metals is below 4 ml per 100 g weld metal. This hydrogen level will avoid hydrogen induced cracks. 
  • The R means that the coating is moisture resistant, which means that the coating is not hygroscopic.

Packaging

 To ensure safe welding with low-hydrogen weld metal we recommend our premium packaging DRY SYSTEM.

 

 

DRY SYSTEM is the best solution for welding on site of high strength constructional steels. Hermetically sealed vaccuum pack, lower weight per packaging and thanks to our H4 R moisture resistant coating welders can use it up to 9 hours without  the necessity of re-drying.

Beside DRY SYSTEM we offer another advanced packaging solution. Our metal tins are very popular among pipeline welders. They offer a strong protection against dirt and bad weather conditions on site and are re-lockable with a plastic lid.
