In Vordernberg, you’ll delve into the origins of the Blast Furnace Route at the historic Radwerk IV – the very place where heavy industry first took root. In Donawitz, you’ll then experience today’s modern blast furnace production. The route remains the same, yet the striking contrast between ‘then’ and ‘now’ makes this tour a special experience, rounded off by a glimpse into a climate-friendly future as part of the greentec steel transformation.

The tour starts at Radwerk IV in Vorderberg and takes you through all the key production stages of the blast furnace route and the future electric arc furnace route:
