Experience steel production up close – from the traditional blast furnace production process to a climate-friendly future as part of the greentec steel transformation.

This tour offers a concise and informative overview of the entire steel production process and explains how innovative technologies are paving the way for more sustainable steel production.

The tour starts at the visitor centre and takes you through all the key production stages of the blast furnace route:

• Sinter plant
• Blast furnace
• Blast furnace control room
• Process description of the steelworks

We will include the steelworks in the content of our tour and explain its processes and significance within the overall context. Please note that we will not be entering the steelworks directly, as visitor access is currently not permitted there.

Afterwards, you will be given an insight into future steel production using the electric arc furnace, before the tour concludes back at the visitor centre.
