The voestalpine open space project is a worldwide unique cultural and spatial laboratory that opens up new opportunities for exciting new cultural projects and is at the same time the highlight of the Linzer "Höhenrausch".
voestalpine Krems Finaltechnik erected the open steel-structure using systems that are normally used in constructing highbay warehouse projects worldwide. The entire structure is 42 meters long, 15 meters broad and 9 meters high - speciality: voestalpine open space "floats" 25 meters above the ground.
The architectural concept has been developed together with the architects from Riepl&Riepl and the OÖ Kulturquartier. The open space does not only demonstrate the extraordinary abilities of steel, it is also an exceptional landmark and architectural signal.
