WELDRAIL

International project-cooperation within the ECSC network.

Based on the results of the ECSC project RESTRAIL, displaying the weakness of rail welds concerning fatigue limit caused by hardness reduction within the heat affected zone (HAZ), the follow up project WELDRAIL was established in order to improve the properties of the HAZ in rail welds.

The project was successfully finished by the end of 2005.
