Cooperation with the Virtual Vehicle

The vif-competence centre (The Virtual Vehicle), founded in 2002 in Graz (Austria), is doing challenging research in the fields of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, virtual engineering as well as virtual production.

voestalpine Schienen GmbH is project partner at the competence center since 2006 with two projects concerning rail track irregularities and Rolling Contact Fatigue (RCF) of rails.
