voestalpine Schienen GmbH ranks the complete control of the logistics chain of same importance with technology leadership in rail production, both have to be of the highest quality to satisfy the challenges of the customers, today and in future.
We were the first company to produce ultra-long rails and deliver them just-in-time. We can draw on an experience of more than 10 years and more than 7,000 direct deliveries to construction sites, of which we have not missed one single one. No competitor is able to offer their customers more comprehensive know-how.
Our logistics expertise becomes evident in electronically controlled processes, demand optimized supply and management of on-site, external and consignment warehouses, the furnishing of needed means for transportation and loading, processing of documents and many other items including our unique long-rail tracking system.
Currently, the delivery record per month of voestalpine Schienen GmbH is at more than 40,000 metric tons of rails, corresponding to a cargo train of 22 km in length. Even so, we still remain able to satisfy the wishes of our customer from all 5 continents in the logistics sector.
