The coronavirus has changed much of our world. Who would have dreamt that it would be impossible to take a tour of the Stahlwelt and our production facilities? Unfortunately that seemingly impossible dream became reality.
Of course we saw this as an opportunity because we know that changing conditions are a chance for innovation. We rose to the challenge of the pandemic and developed new communication channels and ways of taking part in our events. The importance of these events never changed in our minds. We have always wanted to reach people and inspire them for voestalpine.
Virtual tours for school classes
We take the world of voestalpine Stahlwelt into your classroom. We show you how steel is produced and today’s innovative products that contain steel made by voestalpine.
Virtual visits to the exhibitions feature professional guides from the voestalpine Stahlwelt who explain steelmaking from the raw materials to the blast furnace to processing in a meaningful way. The guides are sensitive to the individual needs of each group and will be happy to answer any questions.
The works tour is also an integral part of virtual visits. Students are shown a short film that takes them on a journey through the largest industrial site in Austria. The film is narrated by a professional guide.
Target group: 3rd and 4th grades, elementary school
Beginning in November, guided tours will be provided every Tuesday.
