Perfectly formed in a few process steps

Optimized steel for improved forming and additional benefits. Steel can be bent into the most diverse and complex shapes. This usually requires intensive pretreatment. With the additional treatments of voestalpine, the steel is already optimally prepared for forming. There are other advantages too.

Phosphate coating

The properties of the conversion layer make phosphating highly important in metal processing technologies. The phosphate layer adheres very well to the metallic substrate. It has a microporous and microcapillary surface that simplifies the adhesion of coatings on the surface.

dryform®, the dry forming aid

dryform® is an organic or inorganic passivation coating developed by voestalpine and Henkel for hot-dip or electrogalvanized steel strip. Typical applications are found in the tube and section industry as well as in the household appliance industry.

With excellent anti-fingerprint properties, multiface® is a multifunctional, nearly invisible protective coating on hot-dip galvanized steel strip. Powder coatings can also be applied directly to the product.

Direct cost savings through reduction of process steps

When using steel strip coated with multiface, the oiled part must not be degreased, rinsed or dried. The direct formability and excellent adhesive properties of the material make it possible to directly powder-coat or adhesive-bond the material after deep-drawing. This substantially reduces the processing costs.
