Perfectly formed in a few process steps

Optimized steel for improved forming and additional benefits. Steel can be bent into the most diverse and complex shapes. This usually requires intensive pretreatment. With the additional treatments of voestalpine, the steel is already optimally prepared for forming. There are other advantages too.

dryform® – Dry forming aids

dryform® is a dry forming aid for hot-dip galvanized or electrogalvanized steel strip with excellent forming and good corrosion protection properties. Typical applications are found in the tube and section industry as well as in the household appliance industry.

multiface® - Der nachhaltige High-Tech Allrounder

multiface® – The high-tech additional treatment

The multiface® coating is 1 to 2 µm thick and is a multifunctional, almost invisible sealant (thin organic coating = TOC) on hot-dip galvanized steel strip (Z, ZM) with excellent corrosion protection properties and direct powder coating capabilities.

Direct cost savings through reduced number of process steps (oiling, degreasing, rinsing + drying)

When using steel strip coated with multiface®, the oiled part must not be degreased, rinsed or dried. The direct formability and excellent adhesive properties of the material make it possible to directly powder-coat or adhesive-bond the material after deep-drawing. This substantially reduces the processing costs.

Phosphate coating

The properties of the conversion layer make phosphating highly important in metal processing technologies. The phosphate layer adheres very well to the metallic substrate. It has a microporous and microcapillary surface that simplifies the adhesion of coatings on the surface.
