With the passivation treatments from voestalpine, the steel is optimally prepared to meet the challenge.

clearcover® is the environmentally compatible passivation

clearcover® is an environmentally friendly and sustainable passivation system without chromium III or chromium VI and is free from heavy metals such as molybdenum, manganese or cobalt. The additional innovative treatment is applied to hot-dip galvanized (Z, ZM, ZF) or electrogalvanized steel strip and can be supplied in combination with oil or phosphating.

dryform, the dry forming aid

dryform is a dry forming aid for hot-dip galvanized or electrogalvanized steel strip with excellent forming and good corrosion protection properties. Typical applications are found in the tube and section industry as well as in the household appliance industry.

multiface® is the all-rounder

The multiface® coating is 1 to 2 µm thick and is a multifunctional, almost invisible sealant (thin organic coating = TOC) on hot-dip galvanized steel strip (Z, ZM) with excellent corrosion protection properties and direct powder coating capabilities.

Direct cost savings through reduced number of process steps (oiling, degreasing, rinsing + drying)

When using steel strip coated with multiface®, the oiled part must not be degreased, rinsed or dried. The direct formability and excellent adhesive properties of the material make it possible to directly powder-coat or adhesive-bond the material after deep-drawing. This substantially reduces the processing costs.
