Developments and trends in railway infrastructure

2022-10-25 |

Our conference in Zurich last week was dedicated to increasing knowledge about the current trends, innovations and digital developments in the railway infrastructure.

Over 100 interested customers from 25 Swiss railway companies joined our experts for our voestalpine Railway Systems conference in Zurich to discuss the challenges, developments and trends on railway infrastructure topics.

A great opportunity to share our knowledge with interested participants.

It was a great pleasure to see how the efforts of preparation by the presenters and the team came together in a perfect conference. The respectful interaction between the railways, science and industry enabled an open exchange of experiences. This spirit was felt throughout the day and made the difference from a good meeting to a perfect meeting!

Andreas Friedrich, Senior Vice President Sales (Turnout & Fixations; voestalpine Turnout Technology Zeltweg GmbH)

In a world moving towards sustainable mobility, railway infrastructure forms a major part of the equation. We discussed several topics for example, how we, as system solution provider, can promote sustainability and how digitalization can help railway infrastructure companies to improve their operations, maintenance and reduce co2 emissions.

Our lectures also highlighted the further development of Railways in Europe, which are centered around a holistic solution for public transport.
