Mild Steel, also known as low carbon steel, is a versatile and widely used steel with a low carbon content, typically around 0.05% to 0.25%. This type of steel is known for its excellent weldability, machinability, and ductility, making it ideal for construction, automotive, and general manufacturing applications. While it doesn’t possess the hardness of high-speed or tool steels, mild steel is favored for its ease of use and cost-effectiveness in producing structural components, pipelines, and various machinery parts.
The material is available from 2.5mm up to 100mm thickness.
