Uddeholm Caldie

Uddeholm Caldie is a medium-alloyed tool steel engineered for short to medium production runs in demanding cold work applications. It combines high chipping resistance with excellent compressive strength, making it particularly well-suited for heavy-duty blanking and forming of Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS). The steel offers very good dimensional stability and can be easily surface treated to enhance wear resistance. Its robust performance reduces maintenance and downtime, increasing productivity by minimizing premature failures and simplifying maintenance procedures. Additionally, Uddeholm Caldie features good weldability, with matching welding electrodes available, and supports flame, induction, and laser hardening for added versatility.
