High Performance Metals Division

University graduates and students

We combine science with practice. At voestalpine, students gain valuable insights into the business world through internships, degree thesis work and trainee programs.
As a result, we acquire innovative minds for the projects and products of the future.
Many former university students and interns return to us.
We are looking forward to your spontaneous application.

There is a long-standing tradition of cooperation between national and international university institutions and the High Performance Metals Division. Experienced employees teach at colleges and universities around the world. Combining academic and practical knowledge prompts new ideas and concepts to help us stay one step ahead.

As a graduate or doctoral student, you benefit from gaining experience in various areas of responsibility in the High Performance Metals Division. The range of topics typically includes technical and business aspects. In addition to adequate remuneration, we also offer bonuses for outstanding performance and applicability of results.

We are specifically focused on recruiting talented and dedicated graduates in various academic disciplines, primarily in the technical and business areas, for our company, because our employees are crucial to our success. In the High Performance Metals Division, you will have the opportunity to apply your varied theoretical knowledge in practice and expand it in the context of exciting work.

Practical experience during your studies

The High Performance Metals Division offers students practical training in the company during the course of their studies through the “Student Trainee Program”. This program is primarily targeted to students in the fields of business and technology who (ideally) are attending a university in the vicinity of one of our larger locations.

The “Student Trainee Program” features the following elements:

  • Monthly stipend or training compensation (for dual study)
  • Practical phases with the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in practice, as well as the opportunity to get to know the products and processes and to be able to become personally integrated into the company in a timely manner
  • International development program to promote social skills, collaboration and networking in transnational teams.

If you want to gain practical experience during your studies in a globally operating group of companies and to have the opportunity to work in an attractive work environment after graduation, please contact us for further information: marion.drescher@voestalpine.com
