Konstrukční oceli - Martenziticky precipitačně vytvrditelné oceli (ocel typu MARAGING)

Maraging oceli jsou vysokopevnostní, houževnaté oceli typu Fe-18% Ni-Co-Mo. Pevnosti nad 2 000 MPa lze dosáhnout jednoduchým tepelným zpracováním s téměř žádnými rozměrovými změnami. Tyto oceli se používají v lehkých konstrukcích v leteckém a kosmickém průmyslu a ve strojírenství a výrobě nástrojů, například na upevňovací prvky, hřídele, pružiny a části ozubených kol.

Maragingové oceli jsou ultravysokopevnostní oceli typu Fe-18% Ni-Co-Mo, které dosahují pevnosti přes 2000 MPa při jednoduchém tepelném zpracování s nízkou deformací. Tyto oceli však nejsou korozivzdorné.
Maragingové oceli se taví ve vakuové indukční peci a poté se přetavují ve vakuové obloukové peci kvůli jejich vysokému obsahu legujících látek, zejména vysokému obsahu titanu a hliníku. Mezi aplikace těchto ocelí patří strojírenství, např. upevňovací prvky, hřídele, pružiny, ozubená kola a lehké konstrukce, např. v leteckém průmyslu, ale také pro součásti v nástrojích a obráběcích strojích.
