    2016
    Acquisition of long term service- & distribution-partners Advanced Tooling Tek (Shanghai) and Sermetal Barcelona (Spain)Ramp-up of voestalpine Additive Manufacturing Center
    in Düsseldorf.

     

    2013
    voestalpine Edelstahl acquires the Eifeler group of companies – a coating specialist. This extends the existing service portfolio especially for the tooling industry.

     

    2013
    voestalpine also acquires Sturdell Industries Inc. in North America.

     

    2011
    The holding company Böhler-Uddeholm AG is renamed voestalpine Edelstahl GmbH.

     

    2007
    voestalpine AG acquires Böhler-Uddeholm AG; one year later the company is fully integrated into the voestalpine Group as the Special Steel Division.

     

    2005
    Böhler-Uddeholm acquires Buderus Edelstahl in Germany.

     

    2004
    Böhler-Uddeholm acquires Villares Metals in Brazil.

     

    2003
    ÖIAG withdraws completely from Böhler-Uddeholm, which becomes a fully privatized company.

     

    1995
    Böhler-Uddeholm is partly privatized by making an initial public offering on the Vienna Stock Exchange.

     

    1991
    Merger of the Austrian Böhler Group and the Swedish Uddeholm Group. Böhler Uddeholm AG is founded as the parent company under the sole ownership of ÖIAG (Republic of Austria). The roots of Böhler and Uddeholm date back to 1446 and 1668.
