Advanced Tooling Tek (ATT), based in Shanghai, joined the voestalpine family in April. An official opening ceremony was held at the site in early July.
The new Special Steel Division subsidiary, which became a part of voestalpine as of March 31, 2016, is no stranger to the market. Over the past years as a reliable sales partner ATT has been very successfully selling Buderus tool steel on the Chinese market and currently enjoys an excellent standing. A ceremony was held on July 1, 2016 to mark the opening of the new company. It was attended by Long Wanli, Deputy Director of the District People’s Government of Shanghai-Songjiang, Silvia Neureiter, Austria’s General Consul in Shanghai, Reinhard Nöbauer, Member of the Management Board of the Special Steel Division, Thomas Habeler, Regional Manager, and Zeno Zheng, Managing Director of Advanced Tooling Tek (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

Tool steel specialist
ATT was founded in 2001 and has made a name for itself in the Chinese automotive industry as a specialist in tool steel since that date. With a workforce of around 100 employees at its site in Shanghai, in 2015 ATT generated revenue of EUR 16 million. The company supplies mold makers with tool steel used to manufacture large injection molds for the production of parts such as car bumpers. ATT enjoys a strong market position in this industry sector, and will also focus on the electrical industry.
