At the beginning of 2011, David Seger started as one of five participants in the first High Mobility Pool where the candidates were recruited Europe-wide.
After prevailing over more than 300 international applicants, David Seger started as one of five participants in the first High Mobility Pool where the candidates were recruited Europe-wide. The Swedish native completed his Masters in Industrial Engineering & Management at the Linköping Institute of Technology in Sweden and then gained practical experience as a project manager in the oil and gas industry in Norway. This experience was a great help in his first High Mobility Pool project for VAE Railway Systems in Australia. „The High Mobility Pool is a useful resource that brings new skills and creativity to our projects at voestalpine companies all over the world. For me, it offers a unique opportunity to visit several different sites to learn about what voestalpine does and how the group operates internationally. The objective of my first project is to analyze and give recommendations on how to improve the productivity of a VAE Railway Systems turnout producer in Mackay, Australia. This project is interesting because of its complexity and its affect on people’s everyday workplace. My role is to lead the project, involve a lot of people and find the best recommendations,“ said David Seger.
