Under the motto “High forest – Dance of the trees,” the voestalpine Klangwolke 2015 presented by Linz AG was held on September 5. 80,000 visitors – among them around 800 voestalpine employees in their own voestalpine area – experienced a unique production in the Donaupark of Linz.

For the fourth time in a row, voestalpine is the main sponsor supporting this special cultural event held in Linz. This year, Adalbert Stifter’s short novel HIGH FOREST was artistically portrayed as an allegory of paradise and its loss. This tale of the forest, innocence and the quest for security provided the backdrop for the main focus: the future of nature and how humans conceive to shape it.

In the typical visual style of the Linz Klangwolke, these topics were staged both taking into account and making use of the unique and expansive stage consisting of the Danube River and the Linz district of Urfahr, excavators, helicopters and fireworks. And yet these props still served to bring great attention to the people and the drama unfolding on the stage.

An area just for voestalpine employees

Once again this year, around 800 voestalpine employees from a wide array of sites came together to experience the voestalpine Klangwolke in their own employee tent.

International network within the Group

Among others, the guests included 33 participants of the currently ongoing value:program from 10 nations (e.g. Brazil, Canada, China & the US). They are currently visiting Austria and are thus also getting to know the site of the Group headquarters in Linz. Besides their intensive training program, the primary objective of their participation in this year’s voestalpine Klangwolke was networking within the Group.

The national and international significance of Klangwolke as a cultural showcase for the city of Linz brings together the regional location and the global standard of the voestalpine Group.
