voestalpine WBN, Netherland's largest turnout manufacturer, improves production efficiency with a new production hall in Hilversum.
Since 1893, voestalpine WBN has been a system specialist for track materials and turnout systems. At the end of May, a new 2,400 square meter production hall started up operations. The resulting optimization of the logistic streams in the production area and the new, state-of-the art systems significantly speed up production in the areas of processing and assembling turnouts and turnout parts.
In the production hall, the main activities are milling of various small parts as well as welding, sawing, drilling and pressing tracks. Components are also completely assembled here. Complete turnout systems are preassembled on the 4,000 square meters of open grounds.
New voestalpine corporate design
The voestalpine Group is marking the consistent implementation of its strategy and its changing self-image by updating its visual identity: its transformation from a European steel company to a global technology and capital goods group is now also being mirrored in its corporate design. The new visual identity combines tradition with future expectations, and increasingly symbolizes dynamism and a focus on the future.
