Industry representatives from around the world demonstrated the future of the aerospace industry at the Le Bourget Air Show from June 19 to 25. Held every two years in Le Bourget near Paris, the event is regarded as one of the industry’s most important trade shows.
A clear highlight this year was certainly the presentation of the Extra 330LE electric aircraft. The model already holds two world records for electric-powered flying objects: its top speed of 340 km/h in direct flight and a climb performance of 3,000 m in 4 minutes and 22 seconds make it the best of its class on both counts. US aircraft manufacturer Boeing also displayed a longer version of its 737 model at the show, while Airbus promoted its updated A380.
Concentrated aerospace competence from the voestalpine companies
This year again BÖHLER Aerospace appeared at the show with a joint chalet running over two floors and offering 140 m2 of exhibition space. The chalet and the terrace offered the managing directors and sales managers from Böhler Edelstahl, Böhler Schmiedetechnik, Böhler Profil, Böhler Bleche, and Böhler-Uddeholm France the perfect setting for important discussions.
