For the first time, voestalpine Stamptec France was awarded the Best Plant 2016 Award by PSA Peugeot Citroën. With this award, the automotive manufacturer honors its most committed suppliers based on their performance in the year 2015.
On May 24, voestalpine Stamptec France was awarded the Best Plant 2016 Award as part of the “Supplier Day” at PSA Peugeot Citroën. The automotive manufacturer hereby honors those of its suppliers whose industrial sites showed an outstanding performance in the area of “Industrial Excellence” in the year 2015.
The selection of the suppliers honored is based on the following categories:
- supply chain
- industrialization and the quality at the initiation of new projects
- performance and the continuous improvement of the industrial processes
The selection is carried out by a jury composed of members of the purchasing department. Out of around 1.400 strategic suppliers, 5% were honored.
voestalpine in Fontaine, France
The company founded in 1919 by two Swiss families under the name Amstutz-Levin & Co and which was acquired by the voestalpine Group in 2007, is now part of the Metal Forming Division. Since its acquisition, the company’s focus has been on the automotive industry, which it supplies with its metal parts (punching, forming) and modules (assembled units, safety and collision absorbing components). Next to these single components, the highly modernized site in Fontaine also offers complete manufacturing processes. Currently, the site employs 200 people and belongs to the leading partners in the automotive industry in which it is able to sustainably accompany the growth of its clients and business partners together with the parent company voestalpine AG.
New voestalpine corporate design
The voestalpine Group is marking the consistent implementation of its strategy and its changing self-image by updating its visual identity: its transformation from a European steel company to a global technology and capital goods group is now also being mirrored in its corporate design. The new visual identity combines tradition with future expectations, and increasingly symbolizes dynamism and a focus on the future.
