Böhler PROFIL supplies a comprehensive range of special profiles to the aerospace industry. The current expansion in air fleet numbers brings increasing demand for profiles of all varieties. With this in mind, the company decided on measures to increase revenue in the key growth market of aerospace. In addition to a variety of special rails for aircraft equipment, the company also supplies profiles for engine construction. Sealing profiles for loading hatches on Airbus A320 aircraft are a highlight of the Böhler PROFIL aerospace product program. They are delivered as finished parts for installation by the manufacturer.

Exacting demands made on profiles

Aircraft engines are technological marvels. Only the highest quality steel and nickel-base alloys, precision processed, are sufficient to stand up to flight conditions. The profiles for turbine rings and blades must be able to withstand extremely high temperatures and pressures over sustained periods. Böhler PROFIL makes a considerable contribution to the GP7200 engine on the huge Airbus A380 with its smaller blade profiles.

"We will increasingly focus on engine components with our future Aircraft Engines - Market Penetration project."

Showing profiles at the Paris Air Show

Böhler PROFIL GmbH will, of course, being attending the Paris Air Show and displaying its products. Kerstin Atzenhofer plans to use the show in Le Bourget to convince potential customers of the performance of her Böhler company, as well as strengthening contacts with long-term aerospace customers at the world’s largest aerospace trade show.

"My wish for the show in Le Bourget is to make contact with as many potential new customers as possible, especially amongst engine manufacturers."
