Rewarded for their efforts: voestalpine subsidiary Buderus Edelstahl in Wetzlar has been honored by its long-term customer Beinbauer Automotive for its product quality and delivery reliability.
For over ten years Buderus Edelstahl GmbH in Wetzlar, part of the Special Steel Division, has been supplying six different types of steering knuckle to Beinbauer Automotive GmbH & Co. KG in Büchlberg near Passau. Here they are mounted onto commercial vehicles on behalf of a well-known manufacturer. Steering knuckles are wheel suspension joints and are subject to particularly high stresses on trucks. Now the voestalpine subsidiary has received an award from its customer for its consistent high quality and reliable delivery.
“We are naturally very proud of this recognition,” says Managing Director Dr. Ing. Martin Dietze, who accepted the prize from Frank Ziebeil, Managing Director of Beinbauer, on behalf of the entire team in Büchlberg on April 11. “It shows that our efforts to ensure the highest levels of quality and efficient production processes are bearing fruit.”
In order to deliver the customer with the number of units they order, in the required quality and at the desired time, planning of the entire production process in Wetzlar begins at the end, explains Guido Schmidt from Sales and Marketing. “We start with the delivery date and then work backwards, scheduling the final control, forging, raw materials acquisition or development so that everything is finished in good time and we can deliver punctually to the customer.”
