As a voestalpine Digital Native right from the start, Stephanie Bauer is responsible for the Corporate Online & Social Media Strategy in her role as Managing Editor for topic management in the newsroom.

On October 4, 2012 the voestalpine synergy platform was held for the sixth time. This year the meeting for researchers was held at the Information and Visitor Center at voestalpine Krems.

The platform gave researchers the opportunity to exchange ideas and network with other specialists within the Group. Around 120 voestalpine employees working in research and development were offered an interesting program. Presentations from experts provided new inputs on current developments, future trends and best practice examples. During the practical forum which followed, valuable experience and various opinions were exchanged and discussed.

The motto of the voestalpine synergy platform was “From an idea to an innovation”. Innovation will also be increasingly important to the voestalpine Group in the future, and therefore voestalpine consistently invests into building up its own know-how. Where today voestalpine is a technology or quality leader in a particular segment, such as in lightweight construction materials for the automotive industry, in the railway infrastructure sector, or in the field of energy and environmentally-relevant technologies for example, this is the consequence of ongoing, in-house R&D.
