voestalpine Meincol S.A., a Metal Forming Division company which produces cold-rolled profiles and tubes, is Brazil’s most important supplier of components and structural parts for driver cabs. For its customized, innovative solutions it has received an award from John Deere.

Direct forming is not widely used in Brazil; nonetheless, by employing the method, voestalpine Meincol S.A. is able to offer its clients customized tube and profile solutions and complete assembly sets. Agricultural and construction machinery giant John Deere, which has been one of voestalpine Meincol’s loyal clients for many years, operates a distribution center in Campinas and four plants in Montenegro, Catalão, Horizontina, and Indaiatuba employing a staff of around 4,000. On March 7, 2017 it held its 12th Supplier Meeting in Campinas, Brazil.

Innovation Award for voestalpine Meincol

During the event, John Deere bestowed the Innovation Award to voestalpine Meincol in recognition of its creative approach and implementation. This year only four companies were nominated for the award. Awarding this prize to voestalpine Meincol reflects the steady, long-term business relationship with John Deere, and also underscores the pioneering role of voestalpine Meincol in direct forming in Latin America.
