Hardly any other term is used as frequently these days as "digitalization." But what exactly do we mean by it? What does digitalization mean to the voestalpine Group? Which opportunities and risks are implied? What examples do we have of digitalization? What measures have already been taken?
In the coming weeks and months, voestalpine’s communication campaign will focus on providing an overview of digitalization and how the group will be using digitalization to its own advantage.
Digitalization has already led to substantial changes in many areas of our lives, and economies are experiencing a significant transformation. This transformation process began decades ago, and we already have a glimpse of what our world of work will look like tomorrow.
Digitalization processes are currently undergoing changes in two different ways: On the one hand, new technologies and possibilities in data processing are accelerating digitalization processes. On the other hand, digitalization is being implemented on more and more levels. The great digital transformation—with its technological impact on our production processes, jobs and employment, business models as well as on the interaction between suppliers and customers both inside and outside the company—is still ahead of us.

In the coming months voestalpine will be using the internal and external communications channels to report extensively on the various aspects of digitalization. voestalpine would like to demonstrate what concerns in the corporate group and what voestalpine mean by digitalization. New voestalpine corporate design
The voestalpine Group is marking the consistent implementation of its strategy and its changing self-image by updating its visual identity: its transformation from a European steel company to a global technology and capital goods group is now also being mirrored in its corporate design. The new visual identity combines tradition with future expectations, and increasingly symbolizes dynamism and a focus on the future.
