voestalpine is driving forward its internationalization efforts in accordance with the 2020 Group strategy. As well as North America, it is primarily South East Asia which is the focus of growth.

It aims to triple this to at least 10 percent (approx. EUR 2 billion) by 2020.
One particular focus is the market in South East Asia. voestalpine already has 56 Group companies located in 11 countries in South East Asia: China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. The long-term focus areas in Asia are in the fields of mobility and energy, for example, railway infrastructures, automotive parts, and turbines.
