Satisfied faces, interesting conversations, numerous visitors. That sums up the voestalpine trade fair days at CWIEME 2018. From June 19 to 21, Berlin was once again a meeting place for experts from the electrical industry who could learn all out about the latest innovations.
With over 6,700 visitors and 750 exhibitors, the Coil Winding Exhibition (CWIEME for short) is the leading international exhibition and conference for coil winding, insulation, and electrical manufacturing. voestalpine was on hand again this year, and under the motto “Electrify Tomorrow” presented its product innovations—especially around the growing industry sector of electromobility.
As Europe’s leading electrical steel manufacturer, the Steel Division presented isovac®, its highly efficient electrical steel. Another highlight was Kurt Satzinger’s presentation entitled “Approaches to optimal material utilization in times of global volume shortages in electrical steel” which met with great interest.
As a premium partner, the Metal Forming Division was also represented in the growing electromobility market. The main focus was the innovative compacore® process from voestalpine Automotive Components Nagold that uses full-faced inline bonding of high-quality electrical steel to produce rotor and stator packages for electric motors with guaranteed mechanical and electromagnetic properties.
