There’s reason for celebration at voestalpine Krems GmbH: Spanish solar tracker manufacturer Soltec has signed an important framework agreement with the voestalpine company for strip galvanized, perforated tubes. This is the largest solar contract in the company’s history.
Spanish-based Soltec is an international manufacturer of PV tracking equipment which it supplies together with related services. To date the company has installed solar trackers around the world with a combined power of over 5.4 gigawatts, making it a global market leader in this sector. Last year voestalpine Krems GmbH acquired Soltec as a new customer for its solar segment, and has already successfully delivered products including strip galvanized central tubes for two projects. Other orders are currently being processed.
Largest framework agreement in the company’s history
Following the successful start of this cooperation, the innovative tubes & sections experts at Krems are enjoying a historic coup: the framework agreement recently signed with Soltec is the largest won by voestalpine Krems to date. It secures future projects and orders. The company will deliver products including steel constructions using sections and tubes for Soltec’s solar tracker module mountings, while the logistics will also be organized by voestalpine in Krems. The particular challenge lies in managing the huge quantities which need to be delivered to construction sites around the world at short notice. But as the initial projects have already shown, the voestalpine company has already demonstrated its reliability as a partner.
