A few days before the historical date of October 9th, voestalpine celebrated the 20th anniversary of the company’s IPO with a big event for its employees.
Nearly 1,000 participants were invited to attend the exclusive preview of the musical Singing in the Rain at the Linz Musiktheater. Specially organized transfers by bus enabled employees from other Group locations in Austria to travel conveniently to the evening event. But first, employees had the opportunity for another preview: The special exhibition in the voestalpine Stahlwelt, which had been prepared for the anniversary, was opened prior to the evening event for employees, enabling them to view the exhibition the day before its official opening.
Preview of Singing in the Rain
At 7:00 p.m., the new Linz Musiktheater was opened for the around 1,000 voestalpine visitors. The atmosphere was extraordinary as the visitors enjoyed the performances by the artists in the preview of Singing in the Rain together with their colleagues. It was an evening that was focused on the 20-year anniversary and, of course, on the employees themselves, a crucial component of voestalpine’s success.
"The most important factor was that the employees believed in the then still new voestalpine, in themselves, and in their abilities. This ultimately bolstered the company so that it became a success story that has lasted 20 years."
New voestalpine corporate design
The voestalpine Group is marking the consistent implementation of its strategy and its changing self-image by updating its visual identity: its transformation from a European steel company to a global technology and capital goods group is now also being mirrored in its corporate design. The new visual identity combines tradition with future expectations, and increasingly symbolizes dynamism and a focus on the future.
