Around 90 employees from all over the world came to the first voestalpine Group Brand & Communication Day in Linz on May 22 and 23, 2014. A fascinating keynote speech and interesting workshops provided an overview of best practice examples in communication.
On May 22, Management Board Chairman Wolfgang Eder greeted the 90 brand and communication managers from a total of 12 countries, and stressed the importance of making the voestalpine brand international. A diverse range of demands are made on today’s communications and they must be primarily viewed from an international perspective. The voestalpine Group is constantly and strongly driving forward its internationalization as part of its Group Strategy 2020. This is an area in which our daily marketing and communication activities will need to be intensified in future.
International brand expert Alex Hunter was the keynote speaker, and in an enthralling lecture he offered stimulating insights into future developments and trends. In four different workshops, covering areas such as Online Marketing and Change Communication, a range of subjects were intensively examined and best practice examples presented from various areas of the voestalpine Group. Finally, enjoying the pleasant ambience of the evening event at the Tabakfabrik, the participants made use of the unique opportunity to get to know one another better and to network. Over the one and a half days, the voestalpine brand and communication managers were able to learn much that will be of use to their companies, and naturally to themselves.
