Bianca creates interfaces between our numerical worlds and those of our customers and suppliers. She successfully mediates between programmers and users, creating smooth, efficient digital processes. And she also sets vocal accents – most recently in our image film for #OurFavoriteThings.
When Bianca returned to us from maternity leave in 2017, we immediately had the right task for the creative voice talent: the new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system had recently been updated and there were still some “teething troubles” with the Level2 systems. So Bianca dived straight into the depths of the IT system, networked programmers and users and set out in search of improved IT solutions.
Today, as a process and IT consultant, she is still responsible for optimizing processes and IT systems, and also works as an interface for the integrated, digital EDI connections between the departments and voestalpine group IT.
EDI interfaces enable the direct exchange of data between our ERP system and that of customers or suppliers. For example, invoices or delivery bills can be integrated directly into the other system and processed there without any detours. This is faster.
Bianca started with us back in 2007 as a commercial apprentice in the Steel Division. There she changed departments every six months and got to know different areas. She was fascinated by the world of IT. Initially, she was responsible for hardware and acquired extensive application know-how, particularly in SAP, through further courses. What interests Bianca about IT:
Bianca does not allow herself to be rattled or thrown off her stride. She knows what she is doing, knows parts of the system in depth and communicates with a great deal of human sensitivity for the respective counterpart.
Even as an apprentice, she won second place in the 2009 state vocational competition, representing voestalpine as the best in her field. That was one of her professional highlights. The fact that she was able to participate in such an important project process and that her opinion was appreciated was a second highlight. And she recently experienced the third highlight: Bianca visited the steelworks, the continuous casting plant, the rolling mill and the pickling line as part of an employee tour, which gave her an even closer perspective than the guided tour of the visitor plant. “That gave me even more motivation and made me proud to work for these products and this company.”
Bianca’s apprenticeship with us gave her the all-round view she needed to discover her interests. For her, the motto is: look at what interests you and just try it out.
Bianca reveals her private passion at www.bianca-music.at: music. She has been singing with her various bands and formations ever since she sang a solo part in the school theater at the age of six. That’s why it was only natural for her to sing in our image film for #OurFavoriteThings.
