Long sleepers in turnouts with lengths of more than 3 m can be manufactured in segments and connected by means of vibration-damping couplings.
The design of the vibration-damping coupling is such that long sleepers can be positively influenced with regard to vibrations.
Another advantage of the system of segmented long sleepers is that transport of completely pre-assembled turnout parts is possible from the turnout factory to the site by using standard wagons.
