Current projects

voestalpine VAE Legetecha together with JSC Lithuanian Railways sister company GTC successfully participated in an international tender announced by Lithuanian Railways for 60-120m length rails R65 (350 HT) purchase including installation support and have signed a contract.

By the 3rd quarter of 2018 we have to supply 280 tons of 100m length rails R65, reload it from 1435mm track to 1520mm track afterwards unload it onto road using voestalpine Schienen “Railputler” technology.

We want to emphasize that so far there has been no successful long rails haul experience in Baltic States. Upon successful completion of this project, we will have a strong competitive advantage over other manufacturers who supply rails no longer than 25m to our market. From the perspective point of view construction company RB Rail, responsible for Rail Baltica Project is also interested in long rails usage for upcoming Rail Baltica Project.

We hope that our company cooperating with voestalpine Schienen and of JSC Lithuanian Railways the sister company GTC will successfully accomplish this important project.

Completed projects

During year of 2017 voestalpine VAE Legetecha for the first time along with voestalpine BWG GmbH ran a project of industrial turnouts production and supply for a client HPA (Hamburg Port Authority).  For this project voestalpine VAE Legetecha factory produced 10 turnouts with wooden sleepers in total (5 turnouts 54E4-190-1:9 and 5 turnouts 54E4-190-1:7). Each turnout acceptance was carried out by representatives from HPA. Whole project went very smoothly, even though at the very beginning of this project our main milling machine went out of order.   Thus, due to friendly support of our colleagues from voestalpine VAE Riga we quickly solved this problem and managed to fulfill our obligations to the customer. We have received a positive feedback about whole project realization (see file attached). HPA, assessing an experience in cooperation with us, could recommend our factory for customers in Germany, who also exploits an industrial turnouts.

We hope to continue our successful cooperation with voestalpine BWG GmbH carrying out such type or similar projects and thereby increasing sales in industrial turnouts market.
