VAE Legetecha
Current manufacturing premises include a plot of land with total area of 2.8 ha:
- 3,500 m2 of manufacturing facilities;
- 1,200 m2 of staff premises;
- 1,000 m2 of indoor warehouses;
- 8,000 m2 of open-air storage lots.
There are currently 64 employees in VAE Legetecha: 18 in administrative and 46 in workshops.
Annual manufacturing capacities of VAE Legetecha are:
- 250 fully assembled railway turnouts;
- 1200 tons of welded base-plates.
Today our Enterprise is exporting its products to more than 10 countries world-wide: Latvia, Estonia, Austria, Spain, Italy, USA, Australia, Holland etc.
The Lithuanian railways stretch is 2,000 km, and this figure includes 1,800 km of 1520 mm track width, 22 km of 1435 mm track width, and 170 km of 750 mm track width. "Lietuvos gelezinkeliai" operates 4,000 railway turnouts and transports 25-35 mio. tons of freight per annum, 75% of which accounts for transit in the East-West direction. 2 Crete corridors run across the territory of Lithuania: I North-South (Helsinki - Warsaw) and IX East-West (Kiev - Minsk - Vilnius - Klaipeda/Kaunas - Kaliningrad).
