On July 10, a sparkling evening reception was held by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour (BMWA) in conjunction with the Central Industrial Inspectorate at which VAE Eisenbahnsysteme GmbH received the National Prize for Work Safety 2007!

Following 2002 and 2003, this is the third National Prize for Work Safety to be received by our company. Moreover, it should be added that in the course of just four competitions for the prize, which is now biennial, we not only took the top spot this year, but also in 2002 (project: Comprehensive Safety and Health Protection Programme) and achieved a second place in 2003 (project: New Dedusting Concept).

Environmental protection and work safety are not merely two buzzwords, but due to the related activities of VAEE, two cornerstones of the corporate image of our company.

As a result of the support and the commitment of the entire workforce, from production to the executive management, it is repeatedly possible to present implemented projects to the public.

The award of the Styrian Environmental Protection Prize 2006 in the Industry and Business category represents a reward for the efforts of VAEE with regard to its submitted project,
“Measures package for (fine) dust reduction and climate protection”.

The award of the prize took place on June 28, 2007 in the stylish surroundings of the White Salon of Graz Castle.
Following a similar award by the Styrian government in 1997, this is now the second time that the endeavours of our company in the environmental protection field have been recognised with this prize. This is a unique occurrence in the 30-year history of this award.
