Switch-point roller in elastic plate, on concrete slab
A resilient switch-point roller is integrated into a slide-chair plate equipped with the Brandenburg system of inner stock-rail fastening.
The open and closed turnout is displaced via these switch-point rollers. Depending on the position of the roller in the turnout, switch-point rollers with four, three or two rolls are used. The first roll of each type of rollers is placed under the switch resting on the slide chair. The bearing of the rolls is protected against dirt and requires no maintenance. An elastic pad is placed between the rolls and the sleeper support which makes sure that the open switch is isolated from vibrations.

- The vibration-reducing position of the open switch guarantees that the point detectors function without problems, which is particularly important in high-speed lines

- No obstruction of tamping or straightening works due to components located in the sleeper spacing
