VARIO 1800 Age-hardened Built-up Crossing

Advantages

  • The ultra high-tensile maraging steel W720 is used for this crossing. VAE has developed a technology, which allows W720 high-alloy steel to be used in an electron-beam welded built-up version.
  • This guarantees an excellent price-performance ratio.

Material grades:
Point of the crossing
W720 material (X 2 Ni Co MO 1895) as per EN material no. 1.6358. Above tensile strength, high yield point with sufficient elongation (more than 8%) and good weldability to the S 355 basic material
Closure rails
Wing rails 		Optional, S900 as per UIC 860 and 260 as per CEN or S900A head-hardened (HSH) and 350 HT as per CEN.

Bolting of the crossings Either high-tensile bolting or with high-tensile double spring washers
