IE 2010 End position detector

IE 2010 detector halves mounted on a sleeper

The IE 2010 is an encapsulated end position detector for installation in the track on a sleeper.
The field of application covers a wide range of uses. The IE 2010 can be used for position detection of switch tongues involving the monitoring of the closed tongue positions and the open tongue positions. In addition a number of parameters can be chosen to be reported including the turnout trailing process and gauge narrowing or extensions.

The developing process was based on our traditional know-how in the fields of switch and monitoring technology. The result of this development was the innovative IE 2010 system which has the ability to perform monitoring on a high technical level for different application needs. The system is designed for installation on a sleeper between the rails which leaves space for mechanical tamping between the sleepers. The design of a detector set is divided into two and installed on a sleeper that makes the accessibility possible.

All components are well-chosen and the functional encapsulated design ensures maximum availability as well as longer intervals between inspections and maintenance. Due to the design the system has the ability to counteract for vibrations and lubrication is superfluous. This contributes to optimised Life cycle costs (LCC) and therefore towards achieving the highest efficiency of the system.

All electrical and mechanical modules are pre-assembled ensuring rapid installation, the result of this integrated transformation is a smarter turnout system.

Precise adjustment can be done easily by hand in the installed and ready stage.

The end position detector IE 2010 can effectively provide high-precision answers to today’s rail administrations. The system follows the highest quality standards as well as safety standards (CENELEC tested) and its adaptability makes it applicable for standard turnouts up to high speed turnouts.
