VS40
VS40 is a hydraulic setting device for grooved rail turnouts with linear force flow. End position locking takes place by friction in a non-positive way. Electronic monitoring of the final position of the switches could be integrated in the system if it is necessary.
The encapsulated design guaranties highest availability and additionally makes the whole system contamination resistant. The setting mechanism and the hydraulic setting cylinder are combined in one module. Due to this design the system requires less inspection and maintenance and long operational time.
The system is operated electro-hydraulically, but can also be operated manually with an operating rod or by trailing.
The operational sequence of the frictional locking follows a spherical locking principle. Spherical locking elements are accommodated rotationally in special symmetrical guides.
