Update: Inspection and Cleanup Program

voestalpine Texas LLC is pleased to inform the community that it has kicked off its Inspection and Cleanup Program.

voestalpine had previously announced that it would pay for cleaning of residents’ properties and vehicles that may have been affected by black material that may have come from temporary operations conducted at its facility. Also as previously stated, any black material originating from voestalpine’s facility is ironbased material that is not harmful or hazardous, and would not pose a threat to health.

voestalpine has engaged a third-party firm to begin inspecting and documenting black material that may be present at participating residents’ homes and on their vehicles. Residents who have contacted voestalpine are now being contacted to schedule inspections. Once inspected and documented by this firm, voestalpine will provide the appropriate professional cleaning services to address this black material, which may include cleaning of the documented issues at residents’ homes and vouchers for exterior detailing services at designated local car detailing locations.
To be part of this Program and get on the list being contacted for inspections, residents should call Sandra Alvarez, Communications & Public Relations, at salvarez@alvarezconsultants.com or at (361) 850-9966.
